Hear Ye, Hear Ye, Hear Ye
Let it be known far and wide
The judge, jury and officiates of the Trenton 2009 Fly-In have tallied votes, cussed and discussed the results and come to a unanimous decision to allow Cam, aka jasper29 the previous owner of the Green Machine and PBR king, to relinquish his title and ownership of the Bent Rotor Award. The new title holder for this, not so coveted award, is David Rains aka Skeeter. Skeeter failed to properly secure his dash mounted instruments which resulted in one of them vibrating out and falling into and fouling the tail rotor pedal controls during an approach to landing. This oversight resulted in a dramatic landing, bent skids and parts and seriously bruised ego. David dragged is mistreated mosquito back to the hangar, cleaned up, had a huge stiff drink, surveyed the damage and called for parts, lots of parts. To honor David’s luck, good fortune and tenacity, he will have his engraved name placed on the award to be hung on the hangar wall at Trenton FL. David will keep the award until transferred at the annual fly in pending new ballots and votes.

Signed

Hangar Master, Judge and Jury

Oh Ouch! I wasn't aware that such an award existed. Sounds like one I can try for as it's in the realm of possibilities of things I'm capable of

Well, things can always be worse. It could have happened at 42,000 feet, which would have been a long ride down. Sorry it happened at all though. That's not a very prestigous award, but one that anyone can get, even the old timers like Larry

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! As the current recipient of this prestigious award I would like to first thank all my fans.........
OK, so I don't have any fans, but would also like to thank John and Dwight for keeping parts on hand, and for their ever willingness to cash my checks.
I believe there should be an official Mosquito patch for those of us who have endeavoured to exceed the limitations of skill and luck. What say the Mosquito community?

N472DR is flying great right now, but it's too damned cold to fly!

Don't be sad Dave, even if you need three jugs to fly your Mosquito, you're not alone, i'm one of your numerous, two jugs, oversea fans!
Congratulations for your award! I hope that at the next "Trenton Fly-in 2010" you will give it to an other lucky man!! Rob seems interested

Not sad, just so damned cold
We need to move the Trenton boys up north one winter, that should get them moving on some doors.
Say, doesn't this award come with a cash prize?

Hey Dave,

I'm afraid to make an emblem...I'd surely end up winning the thing. No thanks. LOL
